The truth behind the poster

“Nose: 225 million scent sensors. Police grade.”
German Shepherds have around 225 million scent receptors, which is why they are the classic police and search dog. Their double coat does "blow" heavily twice a year, but it sheds steadily in between, so brushing a few times a week is part of owning one. Bred to work closely with a handler, many Shepherds bond hard with one person and follow them from room to room.
